Inside Root + Ritual

Your body keeps track of what life demands.

Long hours at a desk. Hard training sessions. Repetitive movement. Stress. Old injuries. Too much sitting. Not enough recovery.

Over time, tension can start to feel normal.

Maybe your shoulders are always tight. Your hips don't move like they used to. Your low back feels stiff after a long day. Your workouts leave you feeling more beat up than energized.

01

Muscular Tension

Persistent tightness, soreness, and areas that never seem to fully relax.

03

Stress & Overload

The physical effects of long workdays, demanding schedules, and always being "on."

02

Limited Mobility

Stiffness or restriction that makes everyday movement, exercise, or activities feel harder than they should.

04

slow Recovery

Feeling like your body doesn't fully bounce back between workouts,  activity, and the demands of everyday life.

Feeling tense, stiff, and run-down doesn't have to be your baseline.

For bodies that do a lot.

Your body adapts to everything you ask of it—from long workdays and demanding schedules to training and the activities you love. Massage gives you dedicated time to care for the body that carries you through all of it.

BUSY PROFESSIONALS

Long hours, repetitive positions, stressful schedules, and too much time sitting can leave tension building through your neck, shoulders, back, hips, and jaw. Massage creates space to slow down, release physical tension, and reconnect with your body.

ACTIVE & ATHLETIC INDIVIDUALS

Running, lifting, yoga, Pilates, hiking, sports, and regular training all place demands on the body. Intentional bodywork can support recovery, address muscular tension and restriction, and help you maintain the mobility you need to keep doing what you love.

You don't need to be an athlete or wait until something feels wrong to benefit from massage.

If you want to feel more comfortable, mobile, and connected within your body, you're welcome here.

Massage informed by movement.

My approach to massage is shaped by my background in personal training, yoga, Pilates, and Thai massage.

I don't see the body as a collection of separate muscles. I look at how everything works together—how you move, where you hold tension, and how the demands of your everyday life may influence the way you feel.

Rather than following the same routine with every client, I tailor each session to the person in front of me. Depending on your needs, your session may incorporate Thai massage, deep tissue, Swedish techniques, assisted stretching, movement, and breathwork.

The goal isn't to force change. It's to work with your body to create more ease, awareness, and freedom in the way you move and feel.

Your body tells us where to begin.

Bodywork, tailored to you.

No two bodies—or days—are exactly the same. Each session is shaped around how you're feeling, what your body is asking for, and what you'd like to get out of your time together.

THAI MASSAGE

Movement-based bodywork incorporating assisted stretching, compression, and rhythmic techniques to improve mobility, reduce tension, and create a greater sense of space within the body.

Best for: Mobility • Flexibility • Active Bodies • Recovery

DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE

Focused, intentional bodywork designed to address persistent muscular tension and areas that feel tight, overworked, or restricted.

Best for: Persistent Tension • Soreness • Targeted Work • Recovery

SWEDISH MASSAGE

Flowing, rhythmic massage designed to ease muscular tension while encouraging relaxation and help the body and nervous system slow down and reset.

Best for: Relaxation • Stress • General Tension • Recovery

Your session can blend Thai, deep tissue, Swedish, stretching, breathwork, and more —  based on your goals and what your body needs that day.

You don't have to choose just one.

More ease in the way you move through life.

Massage is about more than addressing a tight muscle. Intentional bodywork can support the way you move, recover, and feel—helping you create more ease in your body both on and off the table.

MOVE WITH MORE FREEDOM

Support mobility and greater ease in everyday movement.

RELEASE TENSION

Ease areas that feel tight, overworked, or persistently tense.

RECOVER & RESET

Give your body and nervous system dedicated time to recover and reset.

RECONNECT WITH YOUR BODY

Build awareness of how you move, where you hold tension, and what your body may need.

Feel better on the table. Move through life with more ease off of it.

Hi, I'm Abbey.

Massage therapist, movement enthusiast, and lifelong student of the body.

My path to massage began through movement.

Before becoming a massage therapist, I spent years teaching yoga and Pilates and working as a personal trainer. Those experiences made me endlessly curious about the body—how we move, where we compensate, and what helps us feel strong, mobile, and at ease.

But my connection to massage goes back even further. Growing up, I would massage my mom’s restless legs at night until she fell asleep. Years later, my yoga practice introduced me to Thai massage, eventually leading me to study in Thailand and around the U.S.

Today, I bring those experiences together to create thoughtful, personalized sessions that help you feel more comfortable, capable, and connected to your body.

Your session, from start to finish.

Every session is collaborative. Your goals, preferences, and how your body feels that day help shape the work we do together.

01

CONNECT

We'll start with a conversation about how your body has been feeling, your goals for the session, and any areas you'd like to focus on or avoid.

02

CUSTOMIZE

Your massage is tailored to you. Depending on your needs, your session may blend Thai massage, deep tissue, Swedish massage, stretching, movement, and breathwork.

03

RECONNECT

After your session, take a moment to notice what feels different. When appropriate, I may share simple movement, breath, or recovery suggestions to help you carry that sense of ease beyond the massage table.

Deep doesn't have to mean painful.

Pressure is always adjustable. Your comfort, communication, and consent guide the session from start to finish.

"Due to the nature of my job, I have a lot of shoulder tension and hip tightness. I booked a Thai bodywork session with Abbey in the hopes of finding some relief. Not only did my shoulder tension and hip tightness dissipate, but I also gained considerable mobility in my joints and overall flexibility."
